CETE-P organized an interview with a leading scholar in the philosophy of technology, Vincent Blok, after our workshop ‘Can Technology Save the Planet?’ in Prague. The interview was hosted by CETE-P PhD student and PR specialist Vojtěch Svěrák.
"Technological progress alone, nor self-limitation, can provide a complete solution to the climate crisis. Instead, we must learn to satisfy our desires in other ways. Above all, it is necessary to reshape the economic system so that it is not reliant on the perpetual consumption of new products and polluting activities," says Blok, among other things.
The interview explores topics such as the Anthropocene, bioeconomy, sustainability, biomimetic technologies, and much more.
