Are you a fresh postdoc researcher with interests in environmental ethics, technology ethics, bioethics or medical ethics? We encourage you to consider applying for GACR Postdoc Individual Fellowship - Incoming at the Institute of Philosophy of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague (Czechia), fully funded by the Czech Science Foundation (GACR).
The duration of GACR Postdoc Individual Fellowship is up to 36 months. While carrying out their own research project, the GACR Postdoc Fellows will profit from participating in the vibrant international environment of the Center for Environmental and Technology Ethics - Prague (CETE-P) and the Interdisciplinary Research Lab for Bioethics (IRLaB).
CETE-P is a research center funded from the Horizon Europe program (ERA Chairs) and led by Mark Coeckelbergh. The main aim of CETE-P is to connect research on ethical issues concerning environment and emerging technologies.
IRLaB is an internationally oriented interdisciplinary research environment with a focus on bioethics, specifically health care ethics. IRLaB is led by Geoffrey Dierckxsens and its aim is to connect diverse approaches to health care ethics, including phenomenological, analytical, sociological and legal bioethics.
The final deadline for submitting the application to GACR is expected in early April 2025 for fellowships starting in January 2026 (the start of the project can be postponed up to October 2026).
