In the third episode of Zelený drát, the guest is Michal Trčka from the Technical University of Liberec, who specializes in the ethics of technology, nanotechnology, and artificial intelligence. We talk about nanotechnology and creating of synthetic life, the concept of the Plastocene (the synthetic age), specific ethical dilemmas and their solutions, for example during the Covid-19 pandemic. We also discuss why technologies are not neutral tools, but environments that shape us and why ethics should be part of technical education.
