Mark Coeckelbergh, the ERA Chair at the Institute of Philosophy of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague is looking for experienced postdoctoral researchers interested in applying for a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA-PF) in 2024 in the area of environmental and/or technology ethics.
Profile of CETE-P
We are a Horizon Europe funded research centre that examines new ethical challenges posed by the intersection of the growing use of technologies and the current ecological problems, including climate change, loss of biodiversity, issues in Anthropocene, role of AI, and many others. We seek to bring together academics, NGOs, policymakers, and businesses to discuss and solve the most pressing ethical issues concerning the environment and new technologies. To achieve these goals, we organize regular workshops and forums. We also facilitate the flow of expert ethical opinions in the wider public debate through media interviews, podcasts, or public lectures.
Selection criteria and support for successful applicants
Applications will be examined in the light of the MSCA PF evaluation criteria, both by your potential supervisor (Mark Coeckelbergh) and by the experienced project managers. Successful candidates will be guided by senior grant specialists of the Institute of Philosophy through the MSCA PF application process. They will also receive full administrative and technical support by CETE-P project team.
