Bartłomiej Knosala is a researcher at the Department of Applied Social Sciences, Faculty of Organization and Management, Silesian University of Technology, Poland. He is working at the intersection of the philosophy of imagination, integral ecology, environmental humanities, and the history of ideas. Inspired by the thought of Giambattista Vico and Isabelle Stengers, his research explores the ways imagination shapes knowledge, collective practices, and forms of world-making. He is particularly interested in alternative conceptions of rationality, the role of imaginative universals in human experience, and the relationships between culture, ecology, and social life. Drawing on philosophy, literature, and contemporary ecological thought, his work examines how narratives, images, and practices contribute to the creation of shared worlds and ecological awareness. He is the author of the book Marshall McLuhan's Project of a New Science: Philosophical Consequences of Changes in Forms of Communication (Projekt nauki nowej Marshalla McLuhana. Filozoficzne konsekwencje zmian form komunikacji).
He was a research fellow in CETE–P in September and October 2026, supported by the International Visegrad Fund.
