CETE-P hosted the inaugural meeting of Czech teams and institutions working on environmental topics. Over an intensive two-day program, 16 teams, primarily from the social sciences and humanities, presented their research, exchanged insights, and explored opportunities for collaboration – not only in interdisciplinary research but also in driving institutional change within Czech academia and promoting environmental topics in broader public debates.
Together, they took the first step toward establishing the Czech Environmental Social Studies Network (CZESS-NET), which aims to continue these efforts and build a lasting platform for cooperation.
If you are working on environmental topics, interested in learning more about CZESS-NET, or aware of institutions that might like to join, please contact our project coordinator, Petr Urban, at urban@flu.cas.cz.
