Paula Gürtler is a PhD Level Researcher at CETE-P and a PhD candidate in the program of Applied Ethics at the Faculty of Humanities, Charles University. She obtained a master’s degree in Applied Ethics from Linköping University, Sweden. Before joining CETE-P she has spent two years working at the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS), an independent thinktank in Brussels, Belgium, allowing her to gain a deep understanding of European digital policy. In her role as Researcher at CEPS, she has worked on various Horizon projects related to the ethical, legal, social, and economic impacts of AI systems in different sectors, as well as on a foresight study for a European agency. She continues to work at CEPS as an associate researcher.
