Abstract:
The talk is a comprehensive presentation of the program, methods and results of the the TUM Institute for Ethics in AI (IEAI). It covers an explanation of IEAI's interdisciplinary approach; a description of its research clusters; ethical opportunities opened by AI; and an analysis of some risks and challenges. The talk also presents IEAI's unique approach to AI governance and regulation, including reflections on the European AI Act. The talk concludes with an information about particular contributions of IEAI in the fields of AI in healthcare and autonomous driving.
The event is jointly organized with Karel Čapek Center for Values in Science and Technology.
