Cécile Rosat is a PhD Level Researcher at CETE-P and a PhD candidate in the programme of Philosophy at the University of Pardubice – the Centre for Ethics as Study in Human Value. Provisionally titled "Hermeneutical Responsibility and Resistance in Environmental Ethics," her project examines the nature of responsibility in the context of climate change and investigates the option of a feeling of responsibility. Her project is supervised by Iwona Janicka from CETE-P.
Before joining CETE-P, Cécile was a research assistant in practical philosophy at ETH Zurich. She obtained her Master's and Bachelor's degrees from the University of Neuchâtel. Interested in the philosophy of emotions, and more specifically, sympathy and empathy, she was a visiting scholar at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) and the University of Geneva.
